Israeli activists for Armenia and Artsakh call for - הפעילים ישראלים קוראים לשקול בכובד

These days, citizens of the Armenian Republic of Artsakh, better known as Nagorno-Karabakh, are falling victim to daily attacks by missiles, drones, and cluster bombs.

These attacks are carried out by the Azerbaijani army, backed by Turkey and by Syrian militia fighters.

For years, the arms industry in Israel has been exporting advanced weapons to Azerbaijan. These weapons are being used to attack the civilian population of Artsakh right now, at this very moment.

According to Amnesty International, these attacks on civilians use cluster bombs made in Israel - in violation of international law. The manufacturing, sale, and use of such bombs are banned by more than a hundred countries around the world.

During the fighting, firearms shipments from Israel are flown directly to the war zones for the use of the Azerbaijani army against the civilian population.

We call upon the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense to stop these weapons shipments immediately.

This billions of dollars worth of Israeli weapons to Azerbaijan, which maintains close ties with hostile regimes to the State of Israel, may one day be directed against the citizens of our country as it is today directed against the citizens of Armenia and Artsakh.

We call for serious consideration of whether Israel's involvement in this war faithfully serves the values of peacekeeping as well as the security interests of the State of Israel.
